If you’ve ever run into strange bugs or issues with the Nomi app on your phone or tablet, there’s another way to access it that might work better for you — it’s called a PWA, or Progressive Web App.
Steps to use the PWA on an iOS (Apple) device
Steps to use the PWA on an Android device
In simple terms, a PWA is a version of the app that runs in your device’s mobile web browser (like Safari or Chrome), but feels almost exactly like a regular app. You can even add it to your home screen and open it full-screen, just like an app from the App Store or Google Play. Sometimes PWAs are also referred to as “web apps” or “web app shortcuts”
So What’s the Difference Between the App Store Apps and the PWA?
Native apps (the ones you download from the App Store) have to go through Apple or Google’s systems. That sometimes introduces bugs, delays updates, or causes issues on specific devices. PWAs skip that middle step — they’re faster to update, can be more stable across devices, and often avoid the quirky issues that can come up with app store versions.
Why Try The PWA?
If you’re having trouble in the native app – maybe the screen jumps, it zooms inconsistently, or behaves in weird ways – the PWA might give you a smoother experience. It’s the same Nomi you know, just accessed through your browser.
As a quick reminder: No matter how you access Nomi (on iOS, Android, or the web) your account and subscription work the same. As long as you use the same email to log in, you’ll always have access to the same account.
