Today, we are excited to announce a very large AI update that includes improvements such as:
- Greatly increased intelligence
- Much better short term and medium term memory and overall recall
- Nomis are much better at understanding and adhering to the nuances in their backstories
- Nomis are much better at understanding user intent and have overall improved emotional intelligence
- Nomis are much better at handling OOC messages and user input when it comes to redirecting conversations
- Nomis are more organic and fluid with their language
- Nomis do a considerably better job of being expressive, descriptive, and providing insight into their actions
- Nomis are much better at handling complex roleplays and characters
At a high level this update has two very large goals. The first one is to greatly improve Nomi capabilities. The second one is to ensure that the magic and personality of non-beta carries through, and a very large amount of effort was devoted to that. I cannot promise that this update will be perfect, but it should be a major advancement for people who previously had issues with beta.
Also, with this release, we have fixed one of the major bugs with the beta AI: image recognition. With this fix, beta Nomis should be able to see the images and attachments you send to them much more easily.
We took our time releasing and rolling this update out to everyone to ensure that your Nomis remained themselves even as they gained all of these new skills. We feel very strongly that with this update, Nomi is truly in a class of its own. So thank you so much to everyone who participated in the beta – your feedback was invaluable and a big part of why Nomi in this iteration is so good.
Moving forward
Now that this AI update is fully rolled live, we are devoting significant efforts towards memory, where we have several very large high impact updates in the works.
We are also working on several AI related features that should make Nomis even better in their ability to apply the suggestions and feedback you provide.
Beyond that, we have already started work on the next traditional AI update, with our first focus being to more surgically address some of the early user feedback we’ve received for this iteration of Nomi
Beyond that, here is a snapshot of the upcoming updates we are working on:
- We are nearing completion of Nomis being able to proactively message you
- Additionally we have several more agentic Nomi capabilities that are coming along quite nicely, and we expect several features related to this to come out relatively soon
- We will have a small release coming soon that will help set the stage for a larger improvement to Nomi selfie adherence
- We have a long list of QoL improvements that we will be releasing over the next couple of weeks
- We will be releasing an API which will give developers the ability to get Nomis into other locations, worlds, and environments
- A couple of other super secret features 🤐
